LAWN FERTILIZATION SERVICE PROGRAMS
Our lawn fertilization service programs provide season-long care for your lawn. We can also tailor our program to your lawn’s specific needs and your budget. A good fertilization program is the basis for a thick green and healthy lawn. We use slow-release granular fertilizers to feed the grass plants naturally for a consistently green lawn without the concern for surge growth often associated with liquid fertilizer applications. We use low pressure, low volume liquid weed controls. University studies show this is the best way to control even tough weeds. Also applied throughout the season as needed are controls for Crabgrass, Nutsedge and surface insects. This comprehensive approach to caring for our customer’s lawns equals fewer problems, and a better-looking lawn.

LAWN CARE SERVICES
BASIC PROGRAM
- 1ST APPLICATION: Our first treatment of the year is Crab Grass Prevention Fertilizer. We use dry granular fertilizer which consists of pre-emergent crab grass control, which prevents the germination of crabgrass seed before it can break through the soil.
- 2ND APPLICATION: For our second treatment of the year, we apply slow-release dry granular fertilizer along with a liquid weed control blanket sprayed across the entire lawn. Along with this our technicians will monitor your lawn and check for diseases and surface insects that may be active.
- 3RD APPLICATION: Our third treatment consists of slow-release dry granular fertilizer along with spot treatment for weeds, nutsedge and crabgrass. Our technicians will check your lawn for surface insects and diseases present at the time of treatment.
- 4TH APPLICATION: Our fourth treatment consists of slow-release dry granular fertilizer along with spot treatment for weeds, nutsedge and crabgrass. Our technicians will check your lawn for surface insects and diseases present at the time of treatment.
- 5TH APPLICATION: Our fifth treatment we apply slow-release granular fertilizer and do another full spray application of liquid weed control to the entire lawn. This time of year our technicians are checking your lawn for grubs, soil compaction, thatch levels, and potential diseases and surface insects as well.
- 6TH APPLICATION: Our last treatment of the season; we apply the “Winterizer” fertilizer to promote root growth and enhanced color through late fall into winter.
BASIC PLUS PROGRAM
- BASIC PROGRAM + GRUB PREVENTION
- Included in this program is everything included with our Basic Fertilizer Program PLUS our Grub Prevention. With your second treatment our technicians will treat your lawn with Grub Prevention Dry Granular Fertilizer. This stays active in your soil, so when grubs become active, they will die before they can damage the roots of your lawn. This is your lawn’s insurance policy against grubs. With this program if you get grub prevention with your second application, and your lawn still develops a grub issue, we will apply a grub curative at no cost. We’ve got you covered!
DELUXE PROGRAM
- BASIC PROGRAM + GRUB PREVENTION + FALL CORE AERATION
- With our DELUXE PROGRAM, you get everything included in the BASIC + GRUB PREVENTION program PLUS a Fall Core Aeration every year. With our aeration, we actually pull plugs out of the ground to reduce soil compaction, help fill in bare spots, and allow your lawn’s roots to expand and grow deeper into the soil.
- We do not offer liquid aeration or liquid thatch removal applications. These are unreliable and do not reduce compaction.
GRUB PREVENTION
Grubs can do a lot of damage to your lawn in a very short time. Grub prevention is your insurance policy against these damaging pests. We use Imidacloprid (the active ingredient in Grub X). This service is highly recommended. Not only does it control grubs, but also a number of other lawn damaging insects so your lawn is protected.
If you purchase the grub prevention and grub damage occurs, we will repair the damage at no charge. Take the guesswork out of dealing with grubs with this beneficial treatment!
CORE AERATION
Golf courses aerate 2-3 times per season. Home lawns, depending on soil and thatch benefit from aeration 1-2 times per year. A thick thatch layer prevents water, fertilizers and control products from reaching the soil. Thatch is also the perfect harborage for damaging insects like chinch bugs, billbugs, and many diseases. Aeration breaks through the thatch layer. Once aeration is done, plugs remain on the soil surface. This brings beneficial microbes to the soil surface to help naturally break down the thatch layer for healthier turf.
Aeration can be done any time of the season, we generally recommend fall when the soil is moist but not soggy, though some lawns with compacted soils or heavy thatch layers could benefit from spring aeration or both spring and fall. Our technicians leave recommendations so our customers know what is best for their lawn.
LIME
Does your lawn have poor color? Moss? Weeds that just do not seem to die when treated? These are some of the signs of acidic soil conditions. We use a high Calcium lime. Calcium is an important plant nutrient as well as a pH stabilizer. The need for Lime treatments is dependent on the lawn’s condition and pH testing.
We offer fall lime treatments to reduce soil acidity based on the lawn’s condition. In some cases, we may recommend a soil test to determine fertility and actual soil pH. There may be a minor cost for this test but isn’t it better to know for certain? Our technicians will leave recommendations based on your lawns condition.
